Pugs are here finally! safe and sound!

At 4:30 this am the alarm went off and up we were- ready and excited to see the 24 pugs that we talked about non stop till their arrival. Darin and I arrived at 7:45 am into Brattleboro to meet our transport bus with the lucky 24 on board.

These lucky few were taken from a GA puppymill. A guardian angel of a rescue woman down there Cindy took them into her kennel. I worked with Curly Tail Pug Rescue and Precious Pug Rescue and Adoption to formalize which pug was going to what rescue. MY heartfelt thanks goes out to both groups for working with me to save them. We all worked with Cindy and got them all vetted except for one.

Miss Daisy as we are calling her is 11 yrs old and blind and deaf and has severe arthritis and cant run well at all. Still her soul is happy and she is so loved. She will be a hospice child where she is now. Her foster mom Carol is feeding her great food which she loves and we hope to put a lot of weight on her. She is totally skin and bones!!:( Just makes you cry to see her like that.

This group of pugs had some that were blind, missing eyes, had demodex mange etc.. They are definitely a needy bunch.

MANY thanks to all of you who donated to help cover the transport fees, that donated toys to this needy bunch and sent harnesses for these babies to have to wear home!

Stay tuned as they continue to learn what being a pug is all about. What it is SUPPOSED to be like! Thanks for your support- and tell everyone about these pugs- we now have like 28 pugs looking for homes! 3 more arrive from pa puppymills tomorrow!

hugs
