update on gmpr pugs

Baxter actually is the worst of the bunch pain wise. He lost 23 teeth! He was diagnosed with level 4 periodontal disease too! He is on only soft food for a while till his stitches heal and dissolve. His vet bills are already over $1,000.00 since coming into GMPR. These are on top of the vetting done in GA.

Miss Daisy is the 11 yr old pug that was said to have at LEAST 20 litters came to us too emaciated to stand and her bones sticking out. After 3 days of several small feedings she weighed 11 lbs. she had to let out her harness a couple of times too so who knows how tiny she was to begin with. she can't have her spay till we get some weight on her and work on building up her immune system!

Several pugs still were infested with fleas and ticks while others had just one or two- weird seeing how they were all treated at least 2x prior to transport. So we continue to treat and shampoo with dawn dish soap to kill the fleas.

They are starting to come out of their shells too.

stay tuned for more- here is a pic of Axel at the pug social:)
