update on GA pugs

Well the time has come and some of them are being adopted:) hooray. Poor baxter with his limited vision is still here- a hit among those that meet him = but still here. I hope someone opens up their heart and adopts this special man!

we recently saved 7 pugs from being killed in PA. PA anti puppymill law went into effect causing widespread chaos- amish simply sold their dogs and shipped them to the amish in Ohio. Those they could not sell were just euthanized by their vets that were told to come out and put them down! Preggo dogs, pups, young, old did not matter. Luckily the vet we work with refused and so Liz was very busy working with rescues to take in the dogs he saved! hooray and well done. These 7 pugs came in this way - together we saved Krista, Brent, Cinnamon, Puggles, Hailey, Kathie Lee and Tony. Krista and Brent come out this weekend as we could not transport all 7 at the same time.

I recently heard from our treasurer that our vet bills are already at 90K for the year to date. BLOWS my mind totally! Its been a crazy year for sure. Thanks to all of you that helped get us through this toughie!

Miss Daisy the emaciated 12 yr old from GA continues to gain weight and is fighting a stomach problem so we hope and pray she continues to get stronger. she is the sweetest hospice baby girl we have. Blind and deaf and still skinny but gaining slow but sure and being loved unconditionally! Thats what its all about!

I am recovering from shoulder surgery and head back to work next monday the 26th- back to the chaos of work:) lol a Huge part of me cant' wait as I am bored at home. Rachel Ray has become my addiction in the am:) its time to get back to work!!

much love to you all

Karen
